Lisbon in January

So this is an image heavy post! Look away now if you don’t have much data left 🙂

Last January I took a mid-winter trip to Lisbon. I spent 3 days there with family and we were blown away by how lovely and unique it is! We did a lot in 3 days – we walked around the old town, visited deserted eerie castles hidden in the mist and enjoyed lunch in a sun-kissed harbour restaurant. The one thing we didn’t manage to do was get a ride on one of the old trams but I think that’s a good excuse to go back!

One word of warning though; on an evening the restaurants’ employee people to stand in the street to try and talk you into eating with them. I found the best way to deal with them was just don’t make eye contact and don’t engage if you don’t want to go in. If you don’t act like a tourist or look like you’re lingering they tend to leave you alone.
